If the weather is good for the installation of rink equipment, then starting tomorrow it will be possible to skate in the Public Garden in Pechersk, in the park of Friendship of Peoples, the park of Partisan Glory, Youth Park on Troyeschina and the park named after Pushkin.

On December 31, the opening of mobile ice rink in the Mariinsky park will give another opportunity to spend time in the open air actively to the citizens of Kiev and tourists.

All these rinks are planned to be open, with no entrance fee.

But, in fact, only those people who have their personal equipment will be able to skate there, because the officials have not yet concluded any agreements with employers on the opening of rental agencies in the ice rinks.

According to a survey conducted among the readers of “Seychas (Now)”, every twentieth Ukrainian (4.7%) is going to participate in the New Year snow amusements abroad.

For those who prefer to test the strength of ice outside the country, it may be advisable to make a trip to Bulgaria.

The other day at the center of the Bulgarian capital – Sofia – the opening of one of the largest ice rinks in the Balkans was held.

It occupies 1,600 square meters of Lake Ariana, which is located near Orlov Bridge.

An hour of skating on a perfectly flat ice of Ariana on a weekday will cost three levs (1.5 Euros), and on weekend – 4 levs (about 2 Euros).

Fans of amateur figure skating who do not accept long trips, should visit Czech Republic.
